My interest in video production began in middle school when one of my teachers began a video club at our school. Over the next 20 years I've worked with different technologies and techniques. When I returned to UNM in 2003 I decided to major in Media Arts and focus on production. Here are some of the works I've produced while at UNM.

Amerikan Girl
This piece was a small group response to an Advanced Production class assignment. We were required to use only one piece of film from the archives of Basement Films, a local collective that preserves thousands of films, mostly educational reels. The film itself was arbitrarily assigned, and ours happened to be a early 70's film about using verbs. This recurring image of a teenage girl appeared so we decided to use her as the core of the film.

Kuleshov's Revenge
This piece was created specifically for the 2004 UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium. I created this piece first as an editing exercise exploring cutting on action and secondly to practice creating narrative cohesiveness during action sequences. The piece uses video footage from the films Ronin and The Day After Tomorrow as well as audio tracks from Alien vs Predator and I Robot. This construction also demonstrates the ease of interchangability of production elements in big production Hollywood action films.

4 Legs Trailer
This piece was designed as a thematic trailer for an Advanced Video Production assignment. The full length piece, still in production, will explore my own personal fascination with mid century modern seating as well the collecting of ephemera as a more like an addiction and less like a hobby.
